Obituary for Annette F Cavallaro

Annette Cavallaro passed away on March 11, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born on September 17, 1937 in New Rochelle, NY, to Alexander and Margret Funicello. Annette was a 1955 graduate of New Rochelle High School before studying at a music school. In 1960 she met the love of her life, Bruno Cavallaro and the two were married in 1962. Annette and Bruno lived for a short time in Valhalla, NY and moved with their two young sons to Armonk, NY, where she remained a resident for nearly 50 years until her death.



She began her professional business career as a bookkeeper for Gotham Construction and Chalkboard Company where she worked for several years. Annette and her husband Bruno owned and operated an commercial electrical contracting business based in Westchester performing work throughout the region. She continued to stay involved in the business for many years after her husband’s death until her retirement.



Annette had a lifelong love of music and was an accomplished musician and violinist, and member of various orchestras including the Philharmonic Symphony of Westchester for more than 45 years and the Yonkers Philharmonic Orchestra for nearly 10 years. She also had many other interests including spending time with family, visiting her many friends, traveling, cooking, reading and photo journaling. Annette loved everything Armonk and was a member of the Armonk Lions Club for many years serving on various committees.



Annette is predeceased by her husband Bruno and her sister Theresa. She is survived by her son Mark and his wife Juliet of Charlotte, NC, with grandchildren Mathew and Michael, and her son JR and his wife Yvette of Armonk, NY with grandchildren James and Brooke, and her brother Jerome of Atlantic Beach, NC.



To honor her life, family and friends will gather on Tuesday March 21, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Castiglione Funeral Home located at 544 Old Post Rd. #3, Greenwich CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am at St. Roch’s Catholic Church, 10 St. Roch Avenue, Greenwich, CT. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery 399 North St., Greenwich, CT immediately following the mass.
