Obituary for Daniel Fred Marciano

Daniel F. Marciano of Greenwich, CT died after a long and courageous battle withPark insons in his home on January 22, 2023. Dan was predeceased by his parents Doretha (Dee) (Kingsley) and Anthony Marciano.

He is survived by his wife Virginia (Ginny) (Green) Marciano of almost 54 years, his son Lance and his wife Megan of Greenwich, CT and his daughter Whitney Marciano and her partner Brendan Cooper of Greenwich, CT as well as his four beloved grandchildren Isabella Marciano of Boston, MA, Christina Marciano, Nick Marciano,
and Teresa Marciano, all of Greenwich, CT. His surviving family also includes his brother-in-law Kerry Green and his wife Pam and his sister-in-law Marilyn O’Brien and her husband Richard and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His childhood was spent in Mt. Vernon, NY. He played football and ran track at AB Davis HS. After high school he attended the University of Florida and the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. At the Academy he was part of the crew of Falcon 03 in a USAF F-101B McDonnell Voodoo when it exceeded the speed of sound above
California.

Dan began a career on Wall Street in 1969. He managed the Equity Trading Desk at numerous firms over 36 years. His final stop being at Bank of Montreal in 2005, making life long friends along the way.

Dan was a history lover and an avid collector of lead toy soldiers. He had a love of sports cars, owning many different ones over the course of his life time. However, his life long hobby, which he shared with his father, was Pigeon Racing. Dan had a room full of trophies from this pastime, although most pastimes don’t require taking care of 200 birds at 5am....daily.

on Thursday, January 26 from 4-8pm. On Friday, January 27, there be calling hours
from 10-11am, followed by a funeral service at 11am.
