Edith Jane Jaccarino

Beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother Edith Jane Jaccarino passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 7, 2022, at the age of 90 in Redding, CT.

Her family celebrates her love, thoughtfulness, compassion, and inspiration on everyone in her life.

Born November 27, 1931, in Greenwich, CT to Frank and Raffaele DeAngelo.

Survived and loved by brother Salvatore; sons Stephen, Timothy, Richard, and Peter; daughters in law Debbie and Hilda; grandchildren Jennifer, Vernonica, and Melissa; many loving god children and her dear friends Anna, Charlene, and Doreen.

At Greenwich High School, “Edie”s passions included softball, knitting club, baby sitters club and the leaders club, graduating 1949.

One of Edith’s early legacy and commitment to others began as a young mother working at the Greenwich Meals on Wheels. All the while raising four very active boys.

Always putting her family first, in 1973 Edith made the decision that would define her adult life. Edith moved her family to Redding, embarking on a magnificent and inspiring professional journey that lasted till her final days. Dear friend George Shaker convinced Edith to join his real estate business. Edith quicky rose to a top producer and eventually part owner. Her wisdom and impact on her peers and colleagues was immeasurable. This magnificent career spanned four decades.

Edith was an active member of her beloved St. Mary’s church in Bethel. Over the years she became a eucharistic minister proudly serving during services.

Throughout her wonderful life one of Edith’s strongest passion was her love of cooking and welcoming family and friends into her home. Nothing made her happier than having a house full of joy and love.

What Edith was most proud of was her four sons. She was a devoted mother and inspiration to everyone she touched, and her impact will be us forever.

Mass services followed by a reception will be held at St Mary’s Church, Bethel, CT Friday May 13th at 11:00am with burial services on Saturday May 14th at 10:00am at St. Mary’s cemetery in Greenwich, CT.
