Jim died Wednesday, November 10th, at his Greenwich home surrounded by family. He was born in Port
Chester, New York on August 7, 1937 to James and Margaret (Carey) Fahey. A graduate of Port Chester
high school, he enjoyed working and held jobs from the age of 9 including delivering newspapers,

became a butcher putting his skills to work in the family business at Farmland Market. He served in the
Armed Forces from 1957 - 1962. Intending to make the service his career, he returned home at the
request of his dad to assist in the running of a new business he’d purchased – Fahey’s Delicatessen.
During his years at Fahey’s, Jim made many friends and assisted more than a few customers when they
needed help stretching a dollar. He completed his career at Stop & Shop, retiring at age 82 after more
than 35 years as a Deli man.
