Obituary for Lucia Evans-Hervey
Lucia “ Lucy” Josefina Evans-Hervey, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully after a sudden illness on Thursday, April 21st, 2022. She was 92.
Lucia was born in Valparaiso, Chile on October 6, 1929. An adventurous spirit with a passion for travel, Lucia lived abroad for many years with her husband and two children. She ultimately made her home in Norwalk, CT in 1993 where she enjoyed building a life around her family, friends, reading, tending her beautiful little garden, playing cards, taking road trips and attending mass services at St. Matthew Church. She worked part-time as a real estate broker in Rye. Regardless of where she was residing, Lucia made a point to return to her native Chile as often as possible to spend a month with her beloved family and friends from home.
Lucia is survived by her brother, Renato Rodriguez; her two children, Keith “Chris" Evans and Nancy Evans; and her grandson Danny Evans.
Lucia was a force of nature and enjoyed life to the fullest until the very end. She will be deeply missed by all those she left behind.
There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk, on Thursday April 28 at 10am. The Burial will take place on Friday April 29 at 11am at the Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, NY.
