Obituary for Lydia Tana Brini
Lydia “Missy” Tana Brini, 68, of Norwalk passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 1st, 2023 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Yonkers, New York on December 16, 1954 to the late Ralph and Lydia (Gigante) Tana.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Vincent Brini, her devoted son Christopher Pedicini, wife Eleni, and cherished grandchildren Alexis, Lucas and James. She is also survived by her sister Elena Adovasio, brother-in-law Peter Adovasio, sister-in-law Nora Tana and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her parents, Lydia is predeceased by her brother Ronald Tana.
One of Lydia’s greatest joys was being “Nonna” to her 3 grandchildren. She also was an avid dog lover, owning many dogs throughout her life, most recently Mason. Missy enjoyed the beaches and time spent on the island of Aruba where she and her husband Vincent vacationed for many years. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Calling hours are Thursday 1/5 from 3-7 P.M. at Castiglione’s Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3 Greenwich, CT 06830. A Christian Mass will be held on Friday 1/6 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry Street, Greenwich, CT. 06830.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lydia’s memory to an animal shelter of your choice.
