Madeline T. (Bodell) Bertolas, age 87, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away peacefully on February 18, 2023 at her home.

She was the loving wife of the late Ralph J. Bertolas; together they shared 60 years of marriage.

Madeline was born in the Bronx, New York on October 2, 1935 and was the daughter of the late William G. Bodell and Margaret (Smith) Bodell.

She was predeceased by her son Joseph P. Bertolas.

Madeline is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Lynn and Tony Chimblo; Dianne and Alan Burkhardt; her grandchildren Cathryn, Courtney, Victoria, Anthony, Kristy, Kelsey, Laurel and Cassidy; and her great-grandchildren Harlon, Haylen, Marcus and Ava Rose.

She is also survived by her sister Doris Bodell.

Relatives and friends are invited to Madeline’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830 with Monsignor Laurence Bronkiewicz as celebrant.

She will be laid to rest following the Mass at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contibutions in Madeline’s memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
