Obituary for Theresa A. Macri

Theresa A. Macri, beloved wife of George R. Macri, passed away at Greenwich Hospital on Monday, June 1, 2021. A longtime resident of Greenwich, CT Theresa was born and raised in Stamford, CT. She was one of two children born to Frank and Lucy Teti. She graduated from Stamford High School and attended the College of New Rochelle. During her professional career Theresa worked as an executive secretary for Ford, Cushman & Wakefield, and the Boy Scouts of Greenwich.

Her greatest contributions were her dedication to family, as a Wife, Sister, Aunt, Mother, and Grandmother. Theresa had a unique ability to connect with people from all backgrounds. Anyone who met her, even just once, would describe her as a genuinely sweet and caring person who made them feel special. She was a "second mom" to many. A guiding light, a beacon, a quiet leader who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, George. She is also survived by her sister, Cynthia Guarneri, son Jon Paul, his wife Jenna, and her grandson Jon Luciano. Additional surviving family include several cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, and their spouses.

Over the last few years of life, Theresa adopted a long running family saying, "I'M FINE." A selfless motto used by ancestors to deflect attention from themself for the betterment of family.
