Obituary for Ursula J Oca

Ursula Janet Oca entered Heaven’s gates peacefully on July 8, 2022. She was born in Greenwich, Connecticut on April 29, 1931.

She was the loving wife to the late Carlo Oca and daughter to Joseph and Minnie Zuccarello. She was predeceased by her brothers Anthony and John.

A lifelong Greenwich resident, she attended Greenwich Public Schools and graduated from Greenwich High School. For several years, she was the bookkeeper and secretary for two construction and contracting firms owned by her late husband.

A loving mother and homemaker, Ursula was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, especially over the holidays. She would make sure every holiday was turned into a feast and would feed anyone that came through her door. She always made sure you left the house with enough food for another meal.

In her later years, she loved to watch food tutorials, cooking channels and Dancing with the Stars. She also enjoyed going on new adventures and trying different things with great enthusiasm.

She is survived by her three children Robert Oca (Christine) of Greenwich, CT, Patricia Hassan of Stratford, CT and Carla Brogan (Jeff) of Valhalla, NY. She is survived by six grandchildren, David, Ryan, Jessica, Alicia, Jeffrey and Christopher and five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, Leandro, Sofia and Nathaniel. Her sister Mary Brogan of Clearwater, FL also survives her, many beloved cousins who she spent countless hours chatting with every day and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will forever be remembered for her love, warmth and kindness.

Church Services will be held on Tuesday July 19, 2022 at 10am at the St. Catherine of Sienna Church. Burial will be private.
