Obituary

Theresa A. Macri, beloved wife of George R. Macri, passed away at Greenwich Hospital on Monday, June 1, 2021. A longtime resident of Greenwich, CT Theresa was born and raised in Stamford, CT. She was one of two children born to Frank and Lucy Teti. She graduated from Stamford High School and attended the College of New Rochelle. During her professional career Theresa worked as an executive secretary for Ford, Cushman & Wakefield, and the Boy Scouts of Greenwich.

Her greatest contributions were her dedication to family, as a Wife, Sister, Aunt, Mother, and Grandmother. Theresa had a unique ability to connect with people from all backgrounds. Anyone who met her, even just once, would describe her as a genuinely sweet and caring person who made them feel special. She was a "second mom" to many. A guiding light, a beacon, a quiet leader who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, George. She is also survived by her sister, Cynthia Guarneri, son Jon Paul, his wife Jenna, and her grandson Jon Luciano. Additional surviving family include several cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, and their spouses.

Over the last few years of life, Theresa adopted a long running family saying, "I'M FINE." A selfless motto used by ancestors to deflect attention from themself for the betterment of family.

I will miss this phenomenon woman! We worked at St.Lukes and Boy Scouts together and she will always be amazing to me. Theresa was a second mom, confidant, sister, mentor, and much more. We shared laughs, tears, hugs, conversations, and family. Her laugh was infectious and I loved her cooking, and stories of growing up in Stamford. Theresa, you George, JP, and the family will forever be a part of my extended family. Prayers to the family.

Mrs. Macri,

I want to thank you first and foremost for everything you did for my family, specifically my grandmother and myself. All those summers you made sure my grandma had a place for me to go to camp without it costing her anything. ALL of the rides to wherever we wanted to go that you and Mr. Macri used to give JP, Vinnie, and I. From your witty jokes, to the best hugs you would give before we left your house to go out, to your kind soul will forever be in my heart. Thank you for everything. May you Rest In Peace. Mr. Macri and JP I know she is looking down on you through the heavens because she was your Angel here too. My deepest condolences to you both and your entire family.
